Not great, not bad. Great backup activity if it is too hot or rainy. Also has great insect mountings, but of no interest for little kids. Fun ancillary activity: the interior is modeled after a cave so well you can find cave crickets if you look hard.

We visited this museum as a rainy day activity with our grandkids. They absolutely loved it. They each left with a different favorite exhibit. Honestly I was a bit skeptical about going fearing they would no enjoy it. I was pleasantly surprised and glad we took them.

I'm in my mid-40s and remember coming here when I was 10-ish. It hasn't changed in 30+ years. Depending on what you're looking for, that can be a good thing or a bad thing...

I was very surprised with this place. We took the grandchildren and they loved the fact that they had could go at their own pace. We learned about the animals from the guy in the shop as well. He was very nice. If you are looking for something to fill in some time, this is the place to go. They are open late. I couldn't find any brochures for this, we just happen to drive by and seen it.

If you like Bass Pro Shops or Cabela's for the taxidermy, you'll absolutely adore this place. Aside from Mammoth Cave's self-guided tour, this was the best time we had as a family on the entire trip to Cave City. Economically priced. More animals than most zoos, guaranteed. And it's air conditioned! Taxidermy was very well done, and most of the exhibits, 30 years later, are still holding up quite nicely. Our most enjoyment was staring at the animals behind the glass, in awe of their sheer size and taking TONS of photographs. The gift shop was huge, had a lot of items to choose from for the collector... super cute t-shirts for kids. For a 30-minute tour, we spent around 1.5 hours here, going at our own pace. Wonderful experience!
