This was the best riding stable I've ever been to on a vacation. Reasonably priced, the staff were great to talk to while waiting, took a 2 hour ride over a huge amount of land... The horses were great. Our guide was very informative and just a down right good person to talk to. He answered every question we asked him and was very knowledgeable about all the horses our party was riding. I would recommend this place to every type of rider from novice to seasoned... I will definitely be back the next time I come through the area.
Very fun. If you get the band and you have a group of friends you will have a great time. The cave tour is kind of lame though
The people and place was amazing! My family came to visit from Florida and they were closed but the guy went ahead and let us ride anyways! Highly recommend this place
Side note: the fire wood is EXPENSIVE. There is a fella down the road a ways that offers a wheel barrel of fire wood for $10. It's well worth it!
EXCELLENT tour guides and staff!!! The kids and I had a wonderful time. We did the 1 hour trail, which was perfect (we had a new rider with us). The guides were friendly, and constantly checking on all riders. We were there Labor day weekend, and had a huge group, but they were attentive to everyone. The photographers are so friendly, and they do a great job. We will definitely go back!
I am giving 5 stars for the campground only. I cannot review the riding stables because we did not ride. The campsites were great. We stayed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and the whole day Thursday. I love the campground. They offer 2 full hookup sites (water, sewer, electric) 5 sites with electric and water. There were also several campsites that had water only. We stayed at the site with water and electric. The cost was $25 at the time of the review. There were also several cabins which appeared to be well maintained. We are not avid campers; however, I feel confident to say that this is a pretty nice campground. It was not crowded, the grounds were kept up, the trash was picked up regularly, the porta potty was the cleanest one I have ever been in, and perhaps the best part, we were not bothered at all! I loved it. We got to choose our campsite, which was fantastic! There were no check in and out times which was great because we got to spend the morning enjoying our vacation and then come back and pack up. I loved that it was laid back and we did not feel rushed. We will be returning if ever we visit mammoth cave again. We had a fantastic time! Thank you, Jesse James!
